SOOO delicious!
Since Devin likes hiking so much, we decided to go on a little hike in the afternoon...unfortunately we did not ask anyone what the trails were like and we just picked a random trail out of our hiking guide book. It started out nicely.
Then it got a bit muddy...hmmm....
Then we saw a little snow and stopped to take a picture. Haha! Snow on the trail. That's funny!
More and more snow....
Eventually there was so much snow that we were walking on top of a couple feet of snow. Since it had been warm, we sometimes were sinking through and the snow was up to my thighs! Devin kept saying "It's just a little bit further, just around that bend...I'm sure....maybe just a couple more minutes...." I ended up falling through once and hurting my wrist...that's when I decided that we weren't going to just keep going. I was a bit grouchy...oops! My runners also happened to have a bit of a hole in the top of them, so walking in the snow and falling through, repeatedly, was not keeping my toes very dry. We turned around and walked back to the car. I'm sure we really were almost there. We learned that you need to be careful which hikes you try in June!
We stopped at a glacier on our way home. It was very pretty, but cold!
